Key Sales Updates

  •     Tata motors’s  sales of commercial vehicles in February 2014 in the domestic market were 23,990 vehicles, LCV sales were 14,881 vehicles, while M&HCV sales stood at 9,109 vehicles. Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal were 344,992 units. Cumulative LCV sales were 247,179 units, while M&HCV sales stood at 97,813 units.

  •       Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 2840 units in Feb 2014 as compared to 3690 units in Feb 2013, representing a drop of 23%.  In the domestic CV Market ( 5T and Above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 2531 units as compared to 3538 units in Feb 2013, representing a drop of 28.5%. On the Exports front Eicher Trucks and Buses have recorded sales of 309 units in Feb 2014 as compared to 152 units in Feb 2013, representing a growth of 103.3%.  

  •      M&M  4-wheelers commercial segment has sold 14,701 units, while the 3-wheelers segment clocked 4,724 units in February 2014. Exports for the month stood at 2,828 units.

  •         Ashok Leyland Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicle in February declined by 20.8 per cent, to 5,576 units from 7,045 units sold during the same month of previous year.Sales of light commercial vehicles in February, 2014 declined to 2,339 units from 3,001 units sold in the same month of previous year. During the April to February 2014 period the total sales of the company declined by 21.4 per cent to 79,056 units from 1,00,592 units sold in the year ago period.

  •        Hindustan motors The company sold 23 Winner (Light Commercial Vehicle) in February 2014 as against 12 sold in February 2013.

Commercial Vehicle launched in Feb. 2014

Ø  Eicher launched the future of Indian trucking with the introduction of its “Pro series” at the 12th Auto Expo.
Ø  Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, launched two new Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) - PARTNER truck, India’s first air-conditioned LCV goods vehicle and MiTR bus, a LCV bus with best-in-class comfort. 
Ø  The first long-range, all-electric bus in India arrived from BYD Company Ltd. in Feb. 2014.

Ø  Daimler India Commercial Vehicles today has launched four new trucks – 3 tractors and 1 construction mining tipper – under its BharatBenz brand.
Ø  Isuzu in auto Expo unveiled the D-MAX Space Cab calling it India’s first Multi-Utility pickup.
